Southern exhibitors at the Taranaki Show who used the railway for stock had a bad run on Tuesday. Owing apparently to engine trouble, there was several hours’ delay and they complain of very rough treatment on, route, mainly at corners and while shunting. A vahiahle pedigree pier belonging to a local breeder was killed somewhere ■ffoout Tariki through the crate being iMerturned in the truck. 'The Wembley authorities have agreed to allow the pavilions to remain ae factories, excepting New Zealand’s, which will he removed to enable street widening. The palace of art becomes a Government museum.
