FRESH OUTBREAKS IN VICTORIA
STATE FOREST THREATENED

MELBOURNE, March 1. Bush fires have again broken out in the Kingslake district. A large party of volunteers checked the outbreak, but a fresh conflagation lias broken out at Whittlesea, threatening the State pine forest, which is valued at £1,000,000. The flames have already swept over Mount Disappointment and are licking; the edges of the pine forest. The fire has a front of more than twenty miles. An urgent call for reinforcements has been sent to Melbourne.
