WHEN DOCTORS DISAGREE. THE PROFESSION AND PUBLICITY MEfEVIOA.L JOURNAL'S THRUST. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received March 2, 11.30 a.m. LONDON. March 1. The- British Medical Journal has published an article in which it professes to resent the criticism of many eminent doctors, including Sir William Arbuthnot Lane (who took up a stand against the conservatism of the Medical Council in opposing publicity) for the publicity they have acquired. The Journal says: “Why do our eminent colleagues ' scatter germs of wisdom? It must be from a high sense of duty. They feel they have a message to deliver. In their hearts they hate jwblicity, but they know the truth about such things as rubber corsets, shingled hair, high heels and cocktails, and, like brave fellows, ave determined to speak out for England’s sake.”
