In the semi-finals for the North Island bowling tournament, Hosking (Carlton) beat Bell (Hamilton) by 24 to 17; Pilkington (Hamilton) beat Feilding (Hataitai) by 25 to 17. In the final, Hosking 13 is leading Pilkington 10 on the fourteenth head.
