A DEFICIENCY REPORTED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. Received Feb. 19, 11.40 a.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 19. An investigation into the books of the Victorian branch of the Seamen’s Union shows a deficiency of £620. . At a- meeting of the Union it was decided that further action should he taken. It is understood that one official of the branch was asked to resign, and that some prosecutions are likely.
