TASMANIAN CROPS.
AFFECTED BY WEATHER CONDITIONS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Jan. 19, 10.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 19. Reports from Tasmania show that the cold snaps and droughts adversely affected the potato crops. After an excellent start- the plants wilted, particularly in the earlier districts. There is still hope for late crops, providing an early rainfall occurs. Oats and pea crops have also suffered severely.
