MOTOR CYCLING.
THE RHLIAiBTMTY TRIALS, SEVERE GO'NJ )ITIONS. The trial's held just after Christmas proved a fine test for the machines engaged and were altogether a great experience for the riders. Talking of the jo-untey; one of the lending motor cyclists in the district isaid he considered the averages set were quite severe enough, and had there 'been wet weather they could not have been reached. Only the line weather made them possible. The c-o untry in the Main Trunk district was very rough, the air being hot and hush fires in some parts making the conditions very trying. The roads in pants were exceedingly r ough and severely taxed the machines, .lit was, he added, a great experience, hut not one of the riders would take on the trip from choice. The organisers are, however, to he congratulated on carrying through the trials so successfully.
