——♦ HAWERA v. WAVERLEY. WIN FOR- HOME TEAM. Five rinks of players from the Waverley Bowling Club played a friendly match with the Hawera, Club on the latter’s green this morning and suffered defeat by 29 points. The weather was splendid, and the green was in perfect condition. Following are the details of the match, Waverley players being mentioned first in each case:— Bason, Beer, Nickolls, Muir 13; Wills. Raynor, Herbert, Weeks, R-. Palme.r 13; Joll, Old, Winks, R. Hicks 31. Morrison, Napier, Howie, J. Palmer 16; 11. McDonald, Cummings, Tidswell, Fov 17. Totals: Hawera 108, Waverley 77. DOMINION TOURNEY. At the end of Thursday’s play in the Dominion tournament, Corkill’s rink (Hawera), the olny 'South, Taranaki representatives engaged ,had one win and three losses.
