CANTERBURY v. TARANAKI. THIS MORNING’S- PLAY. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 16. ' The Canterbury v. Taranaki cricket match was resumed this morning, Talbot and- Page batting to- the bowling of Clarke and -Lay. At 240 a double change in the bowling took place, Botr.rill and Quiekfall going on.. At noon the score was 270, both batsmen playing confidently. , At the luncheon adjournment -Canterbury ’s total was 9 wickets for 353. This morning’s scores were as under: Page, c Nasmith, :b Bottrill .... 81 Talbot, c Quiekfall, b Bottrill .... 34 Gasson, hot out 38 McEwen, lbw, b Bottrill 2 Mortlock, c Lasli, b Bottrill .... 1 Findlay, -b Clarke 4 Road, not out 3 Extras 1
