SILENCE REQUESTED
PARTY DISSENSIONS. AMONG RUSSIAN COMMUNISTS. DANGEROUS TO SOVIET. BY CABLE —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received Jan. 16, 10.52 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 15. The Riga correspondent of the Times says: “Advices from Moscow state that the Communist Party’s executive has written to the English, French, Italian and German Communist parties requesting them to refrain from discussing the Russian party’s dissensions. The letter explains that discords have arisen in connection with Soviet Russia’s economic development, and points out that Zinovieff, who is the leader of the oppositionists, is a wholly untrustworthy guide. Bukin a speech at Moscow, warned the opposition that it. must maintain a voluntary silence. The present dissensions were a greater danger to the party’s existence than ever It was imperative that they should uproot ruthlessly all opposition.—Times.
