STEVE ON THE FILM.
GREAT JOCKEY TO ACT. RACING DRAMAS. I understand that Steve Donoghue, the famous jockey, line signed a contract to appear in six racing dramas for the .screen, says t/ie kiiiema correspondent of the London Daily Express. The stories will be fictional, and will present Donoghue simply as himself, though he may be called on to do some not uricfmgenial acting whenever the narrative happens to r-ouch a love interest. There must be a heroine, but she will not be obtrmive. Each story will he based on some outstanding event in Donoghue’s racing career. The first film, for example, will be called “Riding 'or a King.” The series will be released through Mr. C. M. Woolf’s organisation to coincide with next year’s great sporting events, the first during Lincoln Week and the last during De'by Week. Mr. Jeffrey Bernerd, late of the Stop organisation, is responsible, lor this deal, and the producei will be Mr. Walter West, who has specialised in racing dramas. The heroine has not vet been selected. Mr. West recently prod iced “Trainer and Temptress,” based 'on the novel by Mr. Atty Persse and Mr. A. J. Hussell.
