There was a very large attendance, and the course was in good order. The totalisator handled £21,647, against £17,323 last year. Results: Advance Handicap, one mile and a half. —8 Candabell 1, Huon Denver 2, 11 Letty’s Bow 3. Won by two lengths, five lengths between second and third. Time, 3.30 1-5. Mitcham Handicap, one mile and a half. —8 Siurian 1, 3 Peter Eyre 2, 5 Wee Patch 3. Won by two lengths, a bad third. Time, 3.40 4-5. Ashburton Cup, two miles.—lo Stunt Artist 1, 7 Peter Lyons 2, 5 Becky Logan 3. Won by a length, six lengths between second and third. Time, 4.37 4-5.
