OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT. “FIND YOU It MAN.” An except)oiiiil cast surrounds Kin-Tin-Tin, the wonder dog, in his latest picture, “Find Your Alan.” In this Warner Bros.’ classic of the screen are .Tune Marlowe, “the girl with the soulful eyes,” Eric St. Clair, Charles Mailes, Pat Hartigan, who appeared in Bin-Tin-Tin's other picture, “Where the North Begins,” Fred. Stanton, Lew Harvey and Charles Conklin. Bin-Tin-Tin, the wonder dog, is the hero, with the story woven round him. There is an exceptional cast. A two-night season opens to-night at the Opera House. “GAPPY RICKS.” NEXT WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. New Zealand has never before in its theatrical history been-provided with such comedy success as the adaption of Peter B. Ivyne’s famous book “Gappy Ricks” into three acts of convulsive comedy. To miss it is to miss; the comedy of a lifetime. “Gappy Ricks” for a whole twelve months has been the comedy rage of Australasia, and atfer finishing the New Zealand theatres and cities under the direction of J. C. Williamson, special arrangements have bten made by the management of the imported company to play ‘‘Cappy Ricks” in the chief provincial centres of New Zealand. Ward Lyons, who has established himself as the ideal “Gappy Ricks,’’ will sail for London with some of the principals from AVel'ington in January to recreate his wonderful characterisation at the Royalty Theatre, London. Peter B. Ivyne himself anticipates that his comedy will have a continuous two years’ run in London. “Cappy Ricks” is a comsdv breaking entirely new ground.. All the laughs come without the. vein of suggestion or coarse play. It is clean, wholesome fun, and it is almost incessant from the opening to the. final curtain. Local playgoers are reminded that “Gappy Ricks” is a metropolitan attraction in its entirety of prodriction and company, and one that will be quite unusual in its visit to provincial centres. The season in Hawera commences at the Opera House next Wednesday, and the box plan at Mrs Cook’s Opera House Confectionery Shop, shows every indication of crowded houses being present to welcome this talented company of comedians.
