NEW PLYMOUTH. CARNIVAL. MISS E. STOOKLEY COMPETING. An important swimming event- will take place in New Plymouth to-night, when competitors will be present from many parts of the district. A feature of the carnival will. be the appearance of Miss Stockley, who will compete in the 66 2-3 yards, 100 yards open, and will also give an exhibition. She will also swim in a 100 yards race against H. D. Hawkins, the holder of the Taranaki championship.
