TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL.
END OF YEAR SOCIAL. To mark the conclusion of the school year, (the pupils of the Hawera Technical High School hold a very enjoyable social in the Foresters’ Hall on Saturday evening. A good programme of dancing and other social items was presented. The supper arrangements were under the control of the prefects. A presentation on behalf of the cricket team in recognition of his valuable services as coach was made to Mr. W. W. Thomas bv V. Walshe. The principal, Mr. A. Gray, also expressed his appreciation of the work done by Mr. Thomas ' for the sports of the school. ■ The Catran trophy won by the school hockey team was presented by the principal to the head prefect, Miss F. Tully. Mr. Gray announced that Mr. Goo 1 had donated a football cup for _ competition among the different divisions of the school.
