ABOLITION OF LOYALIST UNIONS
TO BE INSISTED UPON. BY .CABLE —PBESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT. Received Dec. 17, 11.38 a.m SYDNEY, Dec. 1/. The State Cabinet lias decided to appoint twelve new members of the Legislative Council next month. It is freely stated in union. circles that, notwithstanding the Legislative Council’s action in amending the Arbitration Bill, the unions are determined to insist on the Government abolisning loyalist unions, and that the unions "intend to force the Government’s hand. The Legislative Council carried the third reading of the Industrial Arbitration Amendment Bill, and the Parliamentary' Electorates and Flections Amendment Bill, both of which were returned to the Assembly. HOUSE AND COUNCIL. FIGHT TO BE RENEWED. Received Dec. 17. 12.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 17. Parliament adjourns just before Christmas. When the Legislative Council reassembles in the middle of January it will he strengthened by the new members which the Government in the meantime proposes to make. The fight over Government Bills, which the Council rendered unacceptable to the House, wi'l then he refought.
