The reintroduction of penny postage into South Africa on the Jaiiuary 1 w’ill be signalised by a new issue of stamps of a. distinctive South African design. The King’s head will disappear from the more popular denominations, namely, halfpenny, penny, and twopenny, which will be replaced respectively by a representation ot Van Riebeek’s ship and drawings ot the Union buildings at Pretoria.
