ANOTHER PRELIMINARY MATCH
(BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON N., Dec. 9. A cricket match to determine which association shall have the right to challenge for the Hawke Cup, which is at present held by Nelson, is being played here to-day under perfect weather conditions, between Manawatu and Rangitikei Th e former won the toss and elected to bat. At the luncheon adjournment Manawatu had lost two Wickets for 114 runs, the scorers being Me Vicar 41. Broughton (not out) 29, Gal'ichan 4, Rose (not out) 35.
