Mr Godfrey Locker-Sampson (Un-der-Secretary for tli© Home Department) has been appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs in succession to Mr. Ronald uVfcNcill, who recently succeeded Mr. Walter Guinness as Financial Secretary to the Treasury, says a London message.
Major the Hon. J. J. Aster, M-P-? and Lady Violet Aster, wlio have been to Australia with the Empire Press Union delegation, were enthusiastically welcomed by Major Aster’s constituents at Dover on their return, says a London cable message. A torchlight -procession marched'from the pier to the Town Hall, where Major Aster, in acknowledging the . welcome, mentioned that during their thirty thousand miles tour they touched only two po-rts not in the! British Empire.
