Speaking in the Douse of Commons, Mr. Bootnby (Conservative member lor Aberdeenshire', asked whether it was possible to summon an Imperial Economic Conference with a view to discussing the development of Empire trade
Mr. Baldwin pointed out that the Imperial Economic Committee appoint, ed at the beginning of 1925, included representatives of the Dominions, India. and the Colonies. Mr. Garro Jones asked whether, in view of the fact that nearly nine weeks .had elapsed since the initialling of the nocar no treaties, Mr. Amery had received a definite answer enabling him to amplify the reply received at the end of November relative to the Dominions’ ratification. The Hon. W. G. Ormsby Gore said that communications were still passing and it was premature to make a statement. —Reuter
