FLOOD DANGER PAST.

TOWNSHIP OF BLACKBALL ISOLATED.

(by telegraph—‘-press association.) GREYMOUTH, Dec. 5.

The flood danger is over in Greymouth. Country reports show that the rivers are falling,' but drizzling rain continues.

Four spans of the Blackball bridge are gone—32o feet altogether. Blackball therefore is isolated, and the outlook is serious for the miners. It is proposed to maintain supplies for the township by aerial cage across the river.

Trains from Greymouth to the east are getting through, and the express is expected to keep, schedule time-table to-day.

There are nine slips on the OtiraKumara road, which will he closed for several days. Railway and road connections between Greymouth and Reefton are now normal.
