His family are already provided for, and liis sons are wealthy men in the tobacco busi--11 Mr Baron savs that though lie is a Jew he is helping Jewish and Christian charities alike, declaring that the monev was not worth having, ft was only of value for the good it could C \[r. Baron began life in a New York tobacco shop at sixteen shillings a week, and became a millionaire through inventing cigarette-making machines. His benefactions m recent years total £1,000,000.
