FLOODS AND WASH-OUTS.
TRAFFIC DISORGANISED. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) GREYAIOUTH, Dec. 4. Heavy rain during the last 12 hours has caused rivers to be heavy in flood. Approaches to bridges have been damaaged, and the railway traffic is disorganised. No trains were run to and from Otira to-day owing to the line by Kotuku being under water, and there are washouts elsewhere. The Reefton line will also he unavailable till this afternoon owing to floods. Road traffic is also suspended through damage to bridges, and heavy damage is reported on Arthur’s Pass side of the mountains.
