A GIRL’S DEATH. ATTACK IN TRAIN. NEW YORK, Nov. 4. David Stephenson, Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan, is to be tried on a charge of murder in the village of Noblesville, Indiana.. He is accused of responsibility for the death of Madge Oberholdtzer, a beautiful young girl, and the case has aroused the interest of the whole United States, Stephenson is said to have abducted the girl and then attacked her in the Pullman compartment of the train. After the alleged attack, she took poison, which caused her death. The trial is regarded as a test of the Klan against the law. Stephenson is reported to have boasted : “I am the law of Indiana.”
