The Daily Mail says: “Irish Republicans are bitterly hostile to the Boundary Commission. They plotted to wreck or delay its findings by armed men. making a’ lightning dash upon and ransacking its London offices, where most valuable documents, consisting of special survey sheets, many historical records, secret evidence and confidential communications regarding commercial interests and opinions of local authorities are kept, also the Commissioners’ draft reports. Detectives have been ordered to shoot, if necessary. Scotland Yard is also watching Irishmen suspected of sympathy with the Republicans.”—Sydney Sun Cable.
