MOTORING FATALITY,
(BY TELEGBAPH —PBESS ASSOCIATION ) WELLINGTON, Nov. 4. • Last evening a motor accident with fatal resiilts occurred on Point) Halswell Road, near Miramar wharf. From details available, it appears that a motor ear was being driven along to the northward of Miramar wharf by H. Banks, confectioner, residing at Lyall Bay, when it went over the bank on to the beach, throwing Mrs Banks, who was with her husband, into the water. Mrs Banks was dTowned, but the body was recovered. Banks was not injured, and the car was only slightly damaged.
AN AUCKLAND DIVORCE,
AUCKLAND, Nov. 4
At the Supreme Court, in an action for divorce, with a claim for £SOO damages, in which the parties were Joseph Henry Lomas (petitioner), Jane Lomas (respondent), and 1 Albert/ Lynch (corespondent), the jury found that there had been misconduct! and awarded the petitioner £l5O. damages. Judge Herdman entered judgment accordingly, with a decree nisi.
A JURY’S RECOMMENDATION
CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 4. At an inquest at Kaikoura on the death of Robert Aspden and William Dale, the jury returned a verdict that the cause was a motor car driven by Thomas Lane overturning on a cutting. The jury recommended that owing to the defective eyesight of Thomas Lane his driver’s license be cancelled.
