FIREWORKS.

GUY FAWKES’ COMPETITION. THURSDAY NIGHT. Several additional particulars are furnished by advertisement in this issue in regard to the display of fireworks and Guy Fawkes’ Competition to be held on Thursday night under the auspices of the Hawera Rotary Club for the benefit of the local Boy Scouts, Plunket Society and Municipal Band. The Fire Brigade has decided to take part in the procession, which will assemble at the Fire Brigade Station at 7.15 p.m. Dancing on the green will follow the fireworks display, the band providing the music. The number of entries already received for the Guv Fawkes’ Competition assures a unique display, and it has been decided to double the prizes offered by. creating two classes, i.e., for boys of 11 years of age and tinder, and for boys over 11. Full particulars and prices of admission are given by advertisement, and it should be noted that the use of the show grounds has been granted free of charge by the Egmout A. and P. Association.
