M Briand informed the League Council that he is still awaiting definite G raeoo-Bulgarian replies. The Greek delegate read a telegram that endeavours were being made to reach an agreement in conformity with the League’s opinion. M. Briand declared that the explanation was unsatisfactory and that instant withdrawal was essenMr . Austen Chamberlain, questioned the Greek delegate, who admitted that while the Bulgars had penetrated Greek territory for 500 to 600 yards, the Greeks had penetrated five miles into Bulgaria. LONDON, Oct. 27. It is learned that in accordance with the decision of the League Council a British military attache, Kan-or Giles, is going from Athens to the scene of the Graeco-Bulgarian conflict. French and .Italian .attaches £tre also going. SOFIA. Oct. 27.
Greek rifle and machine-gun fire was reported in the direction of Petrich on Tuesday afternoon. Simultaneously Greek artillery allegedly shelled the village of Petrovo. .
