NEW ZEALANDER’S CONFIDENCE. MORE SUPPORT REQUIRED. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 28. In a letter to the press, Mr George ShirtoUffe, who has just returned from Geneva, wheVe he has been on a visit to a son-in-law, who is undergoing a course of Spahlinger treatment for some two years, speaks in most confident terms of Dr. Spahlinger’s ultimate success, if he can only obtain the assistance necessary for Him to perfect his experiments. 'The writer says: “I have returned with the belief that Dr. Spahlinger is a genius; that he is making his researches his life work for the benefit of humanity, and. that not only is he deserving of all help that can be afforded liim, but that it is the duty of the Governments, as well as private individuals of means to see that he is enabled to complete his work with the help of further financial assistance. Mr Shirteliffe admits that he is writing simply as a layman, but ventures the opinion that' any members of the medical profession who, at the present stage, condemn the treatment, are a_ssuming very grave responsibility, in view of the support to> it which has been given by other distinguished members of the profession.
