STATE STEAMERS.
CANADA SELLS EIGHT. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received Oct. 28, 12.5 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Oct. 27. Eight of the Canadian Government merchant marine steamers, formerly employed on the Great Lakes trade, have been sold to private interests. It is understood that six will be used in a new service between Canada and Cuba, which is starting on November 15. —A. and N.Z. Assn.
