The going was hard and willing. Parker forced the fighting, and at close quarters had a decided advantage, but Payne used his right to greatadvantage, thrice flooring the New Zealander. Parker in the last three rounds appeared to have his opponent .. beaten. Then a heavy swing downed Parker. Parker had, four stitches in wounds on the scalp and left, eye, and Payne had a couple in wounds on the right eye.
