HOT TIME FOR THE “REDS.”

AMERICA’S WAY WITH AGITATORS. NEW YORK, Sept. 10. About 200 American “Reds,” reinforced by a tough lot of longshoremen, with an improvised hand of tincans purporting to play “There’ll be a hot time in the old town to-night,” were present at the White Star’s landing pier in New York to-day to jeer the Majestic with her crew of strikebreakers. Since the New York police, chiefly of Irish origin, are rather less polite in dealing with revolutionaries than the police of some other countries, they took just ten minutes in dispersing the mob and chasing them from the riverside. Despite the fact that the Majestic was manned by a hurriedly drafted crew, the liner nearly equalled her westward record of 618 miles for a day’s run.
