According to & summary of the French losses during the present wax- K like operations, given by M. Painleve before the Finance Committee of the Chamber, 1285 were killed up to July 31 in Morocco, including eight French officers and 300 soldiers. The wounded’ totalled 5306, 160 were French officers and 1350 soldiers. From. August-1 tef* October 15, the period of greatest activity, S9l were killed* of which"3l were French officers and 293 soldiers. Foreign legionaries were counted among the Frenchmen. Those wounded, during the same period totalled 2991. The killed in Syria totalled 39 during the first six months of 192 d, but from then to October 1 they amounted to 585. . ;•
