In recognition of his and valuable public services a complimentary smoke concert was tendered at Pahiatua last evening, says a Press Association message, to Mr. Samuel Bolton by a representative and very enthusiastic gathering. There were visitors from other parts. The occasion was also Mr. Bolton’s birthday. He was presented with a fine illuminated address, and also an autograph 7 album. Dr. Dawson presided, and the Mayor, Mr. Crewe, was vice-chairman. DANGER OF NEGLECTED CUTS. Maybe it’s a mere scratch now, but it needs only a little bit of dirt to change it into a dangerous septic poisoning. Have Bee Ointment handy. Its wonderful antiseptic qualities will prevent all chances of infection. 1/6 buys a laxge pot. All chemists and / stores. —Advt.
