BURNSIDE SALE

DUNEDIN, Oct. 21. At Burnside stock sale to-day fat cattle more than reached last week’s high prices. Sheep .showed little change, though heavyweight wethers were a shade easier. Store cattle and pigs sold well. Fat Cattle. —Extra prime bullocks made from £29 7s 6d to £'3l ss; prime heavy bullocks, £26 to £2B 6s; lighter sorts, £l7 to £l9 10s Prime lieiefrs sold at from £ls to £22 7s, and cows from £l4 to £l9 Is 6d_ Fat Sheep.—Extra prime heavy wethers made from 55s 6d to 575; prime heavy, 47s 9d to 525; lighter sorts, 40s to 465. Extra prime heavy ewes made from 44s to 45s 3d; prime, 39s to 425; lighter, from 375. Spring Lambs. —There were ten good spring lambs forward, and they sold under keen competition at prices ranging from 38s to 48s 6d, equal to Is 6d per lb.
