SECRET SERVICE.

NORTHCLIFFE’S SPY SYSTEM. ANOTHER) WAR REVELATION. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Oct. 20. That the German Socialist Party, through Allied agents in Britain’s pay, was directly responsible for Germany’s war collapse was alleged during a libel action against the newspaper Dunchener Post, arising out of attacks by Professor Kossman, who in published articles accused the Socialists of abetting Germany’s downfall. Major Von Hoeder, chief of the coun-ter-espionage branch of the German staff, declared that the results achieved by gigantic spy systems organised by Lord Northcliffe were only possible through the assistance rendered by Socialists in Germany, whom he alleged were prominently associated with an organisation in Holland for training deserters who recrossed the frontiers for further service with the German army and acted as Allied agents. This .organisation was supported by funds from Britain.
