FIRE ON TURAKINA.
LITTLE DAjVIAGE DONE
(by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AVELLINGTON, Oct. 17. An examination of the copra ’ from the Turakina shows that a very small proportion was burned, and that the rest was only affected bv water and can he reconditioned. None (of tbe meat in the lower hold of No. 5 hatch was damaged. The ship has also escaped lightly, a few beams being a little buckled.
