PRINCE OF WALES.
A GREAT RECEFTION. ARRIVAL IN BRITAIN. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Oct. 17, 12. 30 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 16. The Repulse was berthed punctually at noon amidst the Sound of saluting guns and the cheering of the populace. which occupied every vantage point. The Prince waved his hat from the bridge. As it was raining hard, the Prince of Wales'invited the mayor and members of the corporation of Portsmouth aboard the Repulse, where they presented an address of congratulation tc the Prince on the conclusion of his tour, and expressing the belief that his • visits to West and South Africa would be of inestimable value in uniting and strengthening the Empire, also that the visit to South America would cement the friendly AngloSouth American relations. The Prince of Wales, replying, said tha his reception everywhere was the kindliest and most hospitable. Subsequently, in pouring, rain, the Prince was piped off the warship amid lend cheers and the crashing of bands, end entered the Royal train for London.
