PROPOSED INCREASES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Oat.. 15, 1 p.m. PARIS, Oct. 14. Subject to the approval of a plenary conference, the tariff committee of the International Telegraph Conference agreed that the increased terminal transit charges on telegrams shall he applied on April 1 next year. The increases, which are considered as certain, are to he formally adopted despite the British opposition. They merely constitute the maximum rates chargeable and are not obligatory.— Reuter.
