ELTHAM CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Elthain Tennis Club on Friday evening,/Mr F. Fallows presiding, there was a good attendance of members. A sound position was disclosed by the balancesheet, and a good season last year was recorded in the annual report. The election of officials resulted as below: President, Mr A. Ghrystal; vicepresidents, Messrs McGregor, Phillips, and Wylds; secretary, Mr S. E. Carson ; treasurer, Mr H. V. Govern match committee, Messrs Phillips and Carson; ground committee, Messrs- Phillips and McGregor; management committee, Mrs A. A. Stewart, Miss S- Carncross, Messrs McGregor, Miller, Prosser, •Jackson, Chrystal, Gover, Carson; ladies’ committee, Mesdames Moods and Casey, Miss H. Wilson. A concession in subscriptions will be made to school pupils home on holiday, who will be admitted: for £l, hut otherwise subscriptions will be a-s last year. An indication of a distinct revival was shown in the election of 40 new members. , , The ouening day will take place on Labour Day, October 26, and will take the form, of a Yankee tournament.
