STOCK MARKETS.

FAT STOCK HIGHER. GOOD DEMAND FOR DAIRY 1 HEIFERS.

The weather conditions have shown a slight improvement, but there is little growth yet, and will not be for some time. Fat cattle are still scarce, and show another advance in price. They are quoted at up to £2O, and this makes the position still more acute. Dairy heifers close up to profit were selling well last week, and some lines have been sold. Farmers are showing more confidence in the future. Fat sheep are scarce and dear, and hoggets have shown a tendency to clear, many lines having been quitted during the week. The position, though somewhat improved. is still a difficult one for farmers and stock people generally. If the weather improves the position should better itse'f at an early date. STOCK SALES.
