]Vf,r. A. E. P’orriht, New Zealand's Rhodes Scholar a.t Oxford, has gained his B.A. decree with second class honours. Quite a busy week-end presents itself to the Hawera Municipal Band. On Saturday evening the band will play in High Street in 'support of Queen carnival candidates. Oh Sunday afternoon a programme will be played at Stratford to return the visit of t' Stratford Baud of a fortnight ago. When returning from Stratford the band will give a concert in the Kith am Tov'n Hall after the church services at 8.15 p.m., .in aid of the Eltham Soldiers War Memorial Fund.
