KAPONGA FLOWER SHOW.
GOOD DISPLAY EXPECTED
Judging by inquiries which have reached the committee, horticulturists throughout the district are evincing considerable interest in the annual spring flower show being held at Kaponga under the auspices of the Methodist Church. Though the' season has been somewhat unfavourable to daffodil cultivation, a great variety of excellent blooms lias been raised, as lias been evidenced at contemporary exhibitions, in view of which it is confidently expected that an exceedingly attractive display will he presented at the Kapontga show. Besides the narcissi sections, which should provide the principal feature, good entries are coming forward in the cut blooms, decorative, school and Home industries bosses, and the whole should combine iii the presentation of a pelasing array which will maintain the excellent reputation the event has gained in previous years. Stalls for the sale of useful goods and varied items of entertainent are being arranged to assist in the general, attraction. The obiect of encouraging floral cultivation and the other branches of work provided in the schedule is a worthy one, which it is hoped will receive generous public support during both afternoon and evening sessions.
