BRITISH AFFORESTATION.
VIGOROUS POLICY PURSUED. LONDON, Sept. 8. The Forestry Commission lias organised a scheme for planting millions of trees throughout Britain. During the past five years 184,000,000 trees were planted, and it is expected that within 20 years Britain will be able to reduce her timber imports, which now are worth £50,000,000 a year.
