ROPED TO COMPANION’S BODY. THREE DAYS ON A MOUNTAIN. END OF CLIMBING VENTURE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRHIGT. (Received Sep. 7, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, Sep. 6. The climbers Carr, aged 30, arid Van Nor den, aged 21, son of the ex-con-trolling director of the Carl Rost Company, who set out to climb Mt. Snowden on Wednesday, were found at a remote spot on Friday night, still roped together. Van Norden was dead. He had received terrible injuries to his head. Carr, was alive, though-badly injured in the head, and he had sustained a fractured leg. Carr is recovering. For two days he lay helpless alongside his companion’s body.—A. and N.Z. Assn. .
