CRICKET.
A NEW RECORD. The, annual cricket match between Oxford and Cambridge ended in a draw, the scores being—Oxford .350 and 214 for six wickets, Cambridge 409. Cambridge had 383 for five wiekets on the board at the luncheon interval. On resuming the remaining five wickets were disposed of in fortyfive minutes at the trifling cost of 26 runs. H., J. Enthoven, in making a century for Cambridge for the second occasion in succession, set up a new record for the inter-’Varsity series. Fifty-three years ago William Yardley obtained his second century against Oxford, but as hi® previous threefigured effort came two years ealier, Enthoven’s performance stands out by itself. The great merit of it (says a London paper) can be realised when one glances doAvn the awe-inspiring list of names of ’Varsity century-makers—-nams like R. E. Foster, C. B. Fry, H. K. Foster, K. J. Key, E.. R. Wilson, V. T. Hill, and S. H., Day, to mention a few.
