National handicaps have been allotted as under to players in this province who have entered for the New Zealand amateur chamapionship: Eltham Golf Club.—Leo Quin 3, Jas. Quin 5, Harold Dale '5, Alex. Stewart 11. New Plymouth Golf Club.—G. M. Chong 6, P. Grey 6, F. E. Quin 6. PATRON-PRESIDENT MATCH AT ELTHAM. On Thursday a match Patron v. President was played at Eltham. The following were the results of the games, the Patron’s team being mentioned first: Leo Quin heat H. Turner, 4 and 3; Dale lost to J. Quin, 4 and 2; Stewart lost to H. Casey, 4 and 3; Reeves heat Fooke.s. 4 and 2; Young lost to Moss, 2 up; Ritter lost to Wilson, 2 and 1; Waters heat d© Launay, 6 and 5; Morton lost to Burmester, 2 and 1; O. Casey lost to McKay, 2 and IClcmow lost to Carter, 3. up; Fountaine beat Taplin. 5 and 4. Patron, four games; President, eight.
