UNUSUAL ACCIDENT.

TAXT RUNS INTO FLOCK OF SHEF'P. 20 ANIMALS KILLED OUTRIGHT. (BY' TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, Sept. 3. At’4 o’clock this morning, a taxicab ran into a flock of sheep, numbering 361, in North East Talley. The sheep were being driven to Burnside, and were owned by A. W, Douglas, Waikouaiti. Twenty animals were killed outright and four others had to be destroyed. The driver of the car, Leonard La Mont, had his lights on, but said he did not ,see the sheep till he was right among them. The car was practically undamaged.
