A heavy "ainfall in the Heiroshima and Yamaeucki prefectures on Monday resulted in a flood in the rivers, the in* un elation of a large number of houses, the destruction of ovidges, and the interruption of communications. It is reported that there were several fatalities at a number of places. The casualties will nrohahly total over one hundred. — ■Reuter.
