CHANGING THE GUARD.

A HITCH. . TV-FULL-DRESS PARADE AT WRONG PALACE. A slight hitch—such as has not been known for 30 years or more—took place recently in connection with the changing of the Royal Guard for the day. While the Court is. in residence at Buckingham Palace, the change takes place in the forecourt of the palace, but when the King and Queen are. not in residence the change is made in Colour Court, St. James’s Palace, facing Marlborough yard. V On this occasion, for some unaccountable reason, the old guard paraded at St. .James’s Palace, while the new •guard presented itself at Buckingham Palace. Finding no one to relieve, the new guard marched down to, St. James’s Palace, and the change took place there as though the Court, had not-been in residence.
